Welcome to my website.  I have been turning wood for 20 years  For the first 8 years I supported myself doing architectural turning; porch spindles with contractors and chair parts, etc. for antique dealers.   When I started doing bottle stoppers, the only style available were the long pointed chrome-plated style and I did not like them.   Putting one on my son's metal lathe, I cut it down to a shape I liked.  I took this prototype to a local family owned and operated machine shop and together we created the SS Niles Bottle Stoppers.  They will always be made at Steer Machine Tool & Die in PA and will never be outsourced offshore.   The design became so popular, the owners of the machine shop and I got the patent together........it's a lot like being married!

If you have any comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me either email: rthniles@yahoo.com or call 717-486-5232.

        Thank you
