Stainless Steel Bottle Stoppers

This solid stainless steel bottle stopper will never pit from the acids in red wine or vinegars. It sits low in the bottle so your wood or glass design is the focal point. It's designed to complement your work rather than compete with it. The apple stopper at the bottom of this page shows how nicely it sits on the bottle.

These are the "original" stoppers I designed and patented, not the copies being made in Quebec. These stoppers are made of solid 304 FDA kitchen grade stainless steel, there are 3 different size FDA grade nitrile o-rings that will seal various size bottles tightly. These stoppers have the classic brushed finish. If you prefer, they can easily be buffed to a high shine, be sure to tell me you want to buff them and I will send the o-rings separate. The top diameter of all the stopper styles is 13/16".

#304 B, C

#305

#301 model is machined with a 1/2" high, 3/8" x 16 tpi threaded stud. The stud and stopper are one piece so there's no worry about it coming loose. Use a 23/64", 9mm or O size drill bit.

#302 has a 1/2" high, 3/8" smooth stud and are one piece.

The difference between the threaded and the smooth is merely personal preference and turning procedure. Use a 3/8" drill bit for this style.

#303 has a perfectly flat top and is great for blown, fused and cast glass artist. composite and clay or stone. The glue of choice is HXTAL or E6000 epoxy (available at Michaels and A C Moore) or "Welder" (available at Lowes and Home Depot).

#304-B has a 10/32 (32 tpi thread) hole. This is a common thread size.
#304-C has a 1/4" unthreaded hole and are for stone, granite and glass.
#304-D has a 5/16" non-threaded hole.

**note: we can do just about any custom size hole threaded or unthreaded.

#305 has a 1 1/4" diameter by 1/8" thick circle made of the same quality stainless steel as the cone. It is one piece, the top is not removable. Glass artists can do a multitude of shapes with their glass on this model.

Feel comfortable telling your customers and gift recipients these stoppers should be used and enjoyed often and for any length of time in their wines or oil and vinegar bottles. They will never corrode. They were not designed just for display. They seal very tight in most bottles.

When you buy my stoppers from other suppliers, be sure to look for my logo to be assured they are the original and not an illegal copy.

#2 Morse taper, 3/8" x 16 tpi threaded end that is also a TAP (no need to tap separately) and the back end is threaded if you wish to use a drawbar. They are black oxide dipped and will never rust. The top diameter is the same as the stoppers.

Mandrels are $25 ea.

Stub, 23/64", HSS drill bit, 1 3/4" flute length, 3 1/6" overall length. This drill bit is the solution to long bits that hit the wood grain and wander even one mm causing an off-center hole.
